Small-Business Association Offers Free Tools
to Help Members
By David Brehm
It’s no secret that
today’s small-business owners have a lot on their plates. Meetings,
customers, employees, government regulations and tax issues are enough
to fill an entrepreneur’s day from dawn until dusk. Keeping track of all
the paperwork involved can be challenging even for the most organized
person.
“One of the best
ways to stay organized is to have all of your important papers and phone
numbers in one centralized document that is easily accessible,” says
David Brehm, local Membership Representative for the National
Association for the Self-Employed. “You should also have copies on file
with a few trusted business advisors such as your attorney or
accountant.”
The NASE makes this
chore easier by offering its Members a free Records Locator to help keep
track of the location of important papers, such as wills, birth
certificates, trust documents, partnership agreements and powers of
attorney. With this valuable tool you know at a glance where your
essential documents are stored.
Members also have
access to useful information through an award-winning web site at www.nase.org,
an exclusive bimonthly magazine, and free business and tax advice. In
addition, the NASE has a full-time Washington, D.C - based legislative
staff that gives its members a strong political voice and the
negotiating power that comes with group size.
