T-Mobile Brings Positive Impact To Local Economy

choosing Redmond, Oregon as the site for their new call center, T-Mobile
has added a favorable impact on the economy of Deschutes County. The
center has the potential to bring 700 to 1000 new jobs to the area, with
an upscale salary level, full benefits, 401k retirement plan, quarterly
bonuses based on performance and allowing employees to become fully
vested.. They will be offering long and short term disability, life
insurance with paid time off and sick pay, as well as dental and vision
insurance.
The
new 77,000 square foot facility being built by T-Mobile adds much to the
community in the way of a modern, upscale architectural structure with
all the amenities, including a work-out room with cardiovascular
exercise machines, floor mats and weights. As added incentives, they
are offering a cyber café’, fun center and quiet room.
Focusing on the employee, this company reaches beyond the normal by
building a quality team of top performers that pull together for the
enhancement of everyone. They currently have 250,000 employees, with
22,000 nationwide and 12.1 million customers.
T-Mobile is an international company, based in Bonn, Germany, and is in
8,000 cities world-wide in 179 countries. Having already hired 50
managers, T-Mobile will be hiring 700 full time representatives in the
customer service department. The company has changed it’s start-up date
to February and will start the six week training program in January with
over 100 new employees.
T-Mobile operates an all-digital, national wireless network based on the
Global Mobile System, (GMS), the most widely used digital wireless
standard in the world with over 700 million subscribers worldwide. The
U.S. operations are based in Bellevue, Washington and was formerly
Voicestream Wireless. With 83 million mobile customers worldwide this
makes it one of the top three global wireless carriers. T-Mobile
operates an all-digital national wireless network based on GMS
technology.
This
international telecommunications group, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom
AG, is the first and only mobile communications company to offer service
on both sides of the Atlantic. In 2003 it was the first wireless to
introduce video messaging services in the US where customers can record
and send full motion color video messaging, including sound, using a
wireless phone.

customer care, T-Mobile is a community minded company that reaches out
it’s services to help local organizations. They work with Parks and
Recreation to adopt parks, they have worked with Habitat for Humanity
and have provided military packets to send to Iraq. Each year it selects
an organization in the local communities to assist. With all it has to
offer, T-Mobile is a very welcome asset to Deschutes County. |
